How to Apply for Community Grants

The promise of Susan G. Komen® is to save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality care for all and energizing science to find the cures. For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2016, Komen Central and Western Oklahoma is currently investing more than $300,000 in 4 local community programs. The Affiliate funds non-duplicative, community-based breast health education and breast cancer screening, diagnostic, and treatment projects for the medically underserved within our 47 county service area. In addition to funding local outreach projects, Susan G. Komen® runs one of the most innovative, responsive grant programs in breast cancer today. Our Affiliate is proud to have contributed more than $200,000 toward research in 2015. Since 1994, Komen Central and Western Oklahoma has invested over $10 million in the local fight against breast cancer and innovative breast cancer research programs worldwide.

We are now accepting applications for qualifying organization to provide funding of breast health or breast cancer screening, treatment, education, or support projects for the fiscal year April 1, 2017 to March 31, 2018. Projects that specifically address the objectives outlined in the “Funding Priorities” in the application will be given priority. See the list below for more information about our two funding programs – Community Grants and Small Grants.
