Since 1994, Komen Central and Western Oklahoma has worked tirelessly to better the lives of those facing breast cancer in the local community. Through events like the Komen Oklahoma City Race for the Cure®, Komen Central and Western Oklahoma has invested $7.1 million in community breast health programs in 47 Oklahoma counties and has helped contribute to the more than $920 million invested globally in breakthrough breast cancer research to-date.

Currently, we have invested $266,000 in 4 local community programs in the 2017-2018 grant term. These programs are aligned with evidence-based practices according to the specific funding priorities identified by the Community Profile Report and synthesized into each Request for Applications (RFA), which are revised on a yearly basis.

NOTE: All requests for scientific/clinical/medical breast cancer research funding should be directed to the National Susan G. Komen® Grants Program. More information on research funding is available at
